How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Now say that five times fast.
Anyway, yes, I am very well and alive, thank you very much. Kinda forgot about this, but that's beside the point.
Lately, some familial issues have arisen. No relationship issues, thankfully, but I think health problems are worse. My grandmother on my father's side recently had surgery, but some problems arose so she had to stay overnight. She's fine now.
However, last Saturday, my mother told me that my grandfather on my mother's side was diagnosed with a type of blood cancer. He had gone for an x-ray after he had fallen and his chest kept hurting, and they saw the cancer.
However, the good news:
They caught it early, he can take meds for it, and he will be okay. It hadn't affected his organs yet, since they had caught it early, so he'll be fine, which I'm extremely glad and grateful for. And he's healthy.
So he'll be fine. :)
Also, to anyone out there, I'm personally offended if any of you think this is a sob story. I wouldn't make this up. >_>
Anyway.
On a lighter note, I read The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, and to suffice to say, I love it!
The capaiall uisce are based on the kelpies from myths from the British Isles. Kelpies come onto land in either the form of an old lady/handsome man/pony to try to lure people/maidens/small children into the sea where they devour their prey. Their prey's lungs and liver wash onto shores afterwards.
Fun, isn't it? Some other myths include the fact that some people will attempt to ride these creatures, who will also drag them down to the sea, repeating the same lung and liver thing.
So yeah.
They will eat your face with no regrets.
